About Gene Wu
Gene Wu represents Texas House District 137, serving Sharpstown, Gulfton, and Southwest Houston—one of the most diverse communities in Texas. First elected in 2012 and taking office in 2013, Gene serves as Chair of the Texas House Democratic Caucus. He is a leading advocate for strong public schools, affordable healthcare, working families, public safety, and immigrant communities. Throughout his service, Gene has fought to protect voting rights, defend civil liberties, and ensure every Texan has the opportunity to succeed.
